Being in the Real Estate Business
Before setting my foot in the real estate industry, my daily routine usually consists of coffee in the morning, and 8 hours of typing on the computer. Although my previous job contributed significantly to my writing skills, I couldn’t exactly say that I was happy, but I’m not saying I was dealing with angst and some other major issues either. After careful consideration, I finally decided to address my resignation and look for another classifieds that will align with my pursuit in real estate business.
Today, I’m working as a writer and consultant at a premiere real estate business developer. Therefore, I can say that I am finally content. Still getting to write and practice my passion. But at the same time, I am also able to meet different people and develop other skills; such as public speaking.
Here are a few reasons why I love my real estate business:
No day is the same
At my previous job, I would always have my favorite latte in the morning and pound on the keyboard until 5 PM. The next morning, I know I would do the same thing. It’s the perfect job for someone who is easily content and who is avoiding stressful jobs. Employees who are more on the spontaneous side, however, will not enjoy as much. This includes me.
Since transferring to the real estate industry, I’ve already bid tedious work hours goodbye. I could never really tell where I will end up by evening. One hour I’m training real estate agents; then I’m being sent off to a 2-story penthouse the next.
Real estate developers usually disperse their projects in various areas. So as employees of the company. You can get countless opportunities to visit these sites. Aside from unlimited access to the company’s projects, you can also be sent to different regions of the country.
If there are agents you need to train in a certain region or if there is a 2-day sponsor event for business partners; the company will send you to these locations. As well as pay for your transfer and accommodation expenses. Imagine being able to travel for free while making money. What can be better than that?
Furthermore, I have been working with my current company for only five months now. But I’ve already taken multiple roles in the team. Usually, I just stay at my desk and write articles. But now I can teach certain modules to sales specialists, as well as facilitate validly.
Aside from that, I also heard numerous stories of employees shifting from one department to another. Not to mention directors that started out as unsusceptible trainees. If you do your job well enough, best believe that it wouldn’t go unacknowledged.
My job description mostly consists of writing articles and blogs. With the workplace’s fast-paced environment, I was bound to take on certain tasks that were out of my general responsibilities. There would be instances where I would write articles, train sales agents, and be sent off to a showroom to facilitate valid. All in one day. Talk about unpredictable…
Apart from avoiding boring afternoons, what I love most about working in the real estate industry is the opportunity to learn new skills. Including the chance to grow as a person.
If you are a social butterfly thriving in the corporate world, then an 8-hour desk job wouldn’t be ideal for you. If this is the case, why don’t you try your hand in the real estate industry where the culture is aligned with your strengths and values? However, if you are not into sales, there is a wide array of positions to choose from. Be it a career as a consultant, a trainer, a writer, or a marketing officer, setting your foot into the world of real estate will surely widen your horizon.
These are just a few of the million reasons why I love working in real estate; the list can go on forever. So, if you think you are cut out for this industry, don’t be afraid to try and see what’s on the other side. You’ll never know where your newly found career path may take you. Know that you are not disabled from doing anything. You will enjoy working out of your home office, work flexible hours, and set your schedule. Try today.
